Bank holiday picnics......

Playing catch up again.
Bank holiday was 2 weeks ago and S and P came to Birmingham for a long weekend.
The weather was brilliant, so Selina and I went for a walk along the canal....

.....and a cup of tea in the car park-with a cream cake-of course.

AND, the sun was still shining on Sunday, how unusual is that for a bank holiday weekend?
So we put everyone, everything, and the dog in the car and went for another picnic by the lake near Cannock.

On duty making sure that any dropped crumbs didn't get as far as the ground.  Notice he had to be kept on his lead because he is not above pinching anybodys food, dropped or still on ya plate.

            Lazing in the sunshine.
                                                         Notice dog?
Taking advantage of no-one watching and still thieving out of the basket.  He has been ill again, for quite a few days, it could be the picnic, or it could be a whole slice of eggy bread he swiped off the coffee table and swallowed before anyone could grab him.  Milk, egg or bread-an evil combination of the 3 things he really shouldn't have.
He was howling to go out the other night at 2.30am.  Darsh was muttering....
               M e?         I didn't hear a thing!

We watched the heron scooping fish after fish out of the pond below us.  There were lots of fisherman a bit further round, didn't see them catch a thing.

Monday was occupied with a car boot sale to raise funds for Selina's trip to Honduras.  She did really well....

Sold loads of stuff, cheaply, but gives us more room and helps a bit towards her fund raising.
Maybe we can manage another one in a couple of weeks?  The leftovers are back in the loft and I keep adding more stuff every day.  We simply own WAY too much.  However I do hope Sara doesn't look too closely at this photograph!

Some of the left-overs, and things we really don't need, I have been selling on Ebay.  So I suppose I could be in the dog-house with Selina, Sara and Charlotte when they see our neatly slimmed down home-minus a few of their less treasured possessions.

Sara and John are coming home tomorrow.  If it is as hot as today it will be a lovely weekend.
Charlotte is here too, but busy working way too hard, and after worrying about not having any job at all, she now has 2 fantastic offers, and is still worrying....about which one to accept.
