Painting reindeers....

.......as you do, on a cold, and trying to snow, Sunday afternoon.....

.....I found this little guy in the £1 bargain box, he had a damaged ear and was a vivid pink flock covering.  I had been admiring all the stag Christmas trimmings this year, but not so keen on their prices.  So I bought him with the intention of wrapping string all over him, I tried, but his antlers lost their elegant shape when covered in thin wool.

....So I painted him in brown "stone effect" paint instead, and plan to rub a bit of gold gilt onto him once he dries thoroughly.

We haven't any snow yet, but it is very cold, too cold to venture out for a walk, even if that sun is shining, we are not fooled.

He really loves his not-so-new-anymore jumper, but this is as far as he plans to go today, and he would appreciate it if dad turned the heating on.

Sara and John have gone ski-ing this weekend, Selina and Pete are hiding Bristol (because Darsh needs some help to fill in his tax returns) and Charlotte is not answering my emails either.
There is a venison lasagne, half made in the slow cooker,  looks like we are going to be eating it all by ourselves then.....

Charlotte can make do with an overgrown pub sandwich!!!!!
