There are daffodils everywhere....

......more seem to open every day, this time last year they were more or less over.
There are so many in the green house, and one pot has got 2 peach coloured Hyacinth in it, their scent hits you the moment you open the door.
Today was going to be spent in the greenhouse planting seeds and having a thorough clean up.  But things didn't go to plan.  First-Charlotte has lost 2dvds from Love Film, they must be somewhere in the aftermath of her move, but we can't find them.  Second-by the time I had given up looking for the DVDs  the sun had gone and it feels like winter had returned.  True I did get the washing dry, but as I galloped down the garden to fetch it in, Joe stood by the door watching me-far too cold for him out there!

A busy weekend...

.....Darsh went to London, to look at Selina's flat and to see Sara and John, or at least thats what he told us.   Charlotte and I stayed at home, we spent time in the garden, chopping down and cleaning up the branch that broke in the snow.  Lunch in Sutton- fish and chips in "George's"- I haven't been there for years, and a wander round Boldmere High Street in the sunshine.   Our highlight was a very late Sunday lunch at the Boathouse, in Sutton Park.   They were busy and the only table we could get was at 4.30.

We had the best table in the restaurant, in the window, overlooking the lake.....

We watched the ducks and geese, a jay and the Grebe, but best of all, the swifts sweeping low over the water, catching their supper.....a sure sign of coming summer, and so early, we don't usually see them until the week of Selina's birthday.
The food was pretty good too, especially the puds.

We were home before 7 and had a long free evening to watch films, play on ebay and just generally laze at home.
No going to bed and been too full to lay down/sleep for us two then.
Take note...Darsh, Selina and Sara.....!

Long time....no write.....

.......no internet connection on my laptop, and a general laziness, that has seen me reading lots of other peoples blogs and not really bothering to get mine sorted out.  Now it looks as though we might be back in business...until the next time.
It has been a particularly nasty month, and we have had snow and very cold for two weeks now.  Easter has been and gone and we are still huddled up at home keeping warm.  The camper van is all ready to go, taxed and insured and sitting idle on the drive, wasting money, for the whole month.
Joey dog has been ill with an ulcer on his eye for the last 2 weeks.  He has been so sorry for himself, and nasty.   It was very painful for him and he could not leave it alone, so his lampshade collar has been a permanent fixture for the whole time.  He takes grave objection to his eye drops, so although the collar stops him scratching himself, it does nothing to stop him from biting me.  We have not been the best of friends for quite sometime now.
Charlotte has moved back home for her last 6 months of training, so has her double bed, 2 TVs, 2 massive pictures, a huge sofa and all her personal belongings....enough to sink several small ships and push us out of house and home!  We have got 4 sofas in the living room and a large TV bed in our dining room.  The family room is completely unaccessible and in her bedroom I can't get to the window to open the curtains!!!!   "Cosy" is how she describes it.
We are planning to head to Bristol tomorrow for the weekend with Mr and Mrs Gibb, we are going to the theatre tomorrow night.

Go away and leave me alone, don't talk to me until spring arrives!
